ABOUT ME:
I'm a Graphic Designer, Illustrator, Animator and Teacher of year 7-12 Visual Communication & Design, Visual Art, Photography and Multimedia subjects.
As well as working for others, I'm always working in some capacity on "Undead Forever", my series of animated short-films.
My portfolios showcase my animations as well as my live-action short films, motion graphics, graphic design, character design, vector illustration, traditional illustration, photography, sculpture, prop design, voice-over acting and soundtrack music composition.
I studied both art and performance subjects at college before focusing on visual arts subjects in the late-nineties. I studied drawing, photography, graphic design and digital imaging at the Tasmanian School of Art between 1999 and 2004. With animation I've stumbled upon a medium that combines all of these visual arts skills as well as the performance and writing skills that I'd almost forgotten about.
From the late nineteen-nineties until 2008 I worked predominantly in the disability support and special education sectors. In 2008 I became a mainstream secondary teacher specialising in visual art and multimedia and have since been teaching grades 7-12 art and media subjects. This led me to pursue film-making. In 2009 I started to combine my new passion for making films with my visual art background and have since been producing short animated films.
