During my time in Slovenia, I had the chance to travel to Bosnia and visited Sarajevo. The 16 hours train-drive was one of my highlights, the saying "the journey is the reward" is true indeed. However it was also fascinating to see Sarajevo only 20 years after the war. There were still a lot of destroyed houses, one could feel the after-war atmosphere. I met a lot of nice people in Sarajevo, they told me about their experiences and how shocking it was that the rest of Europe did not interfere.
